Measure 26-209, Portland gas tax: Yes

Meh. The roads, bike lanes and sidewalks still suck despite four years and millions of dollars raised by the gas tax. The Portland Bureau of Transportation funneled too much of the money into some neighborhoods at the expense of others. Some of that money could have gone for boulders and other means of preventing some of the stabbiest camps from forming.

We need to pay for transportation, and even Chloe Eudaly, the commissioner in charge of PBOT, couldn’t screw this one up completely. Renew it for four more years and hope that Keith Wilson takes over PBOT.
